Our Regional Youth
Options Program (YOP) currently operates in Geraldton and Kalgoorlie.
In each region, the program runs from a suburban home which provides supported accommodation for young people between the ages of 12 – 17 years who have been granted ‘supervised bail’ by the Children’s Court and whose parent (or primary care giver) is unable to offer the necessary support.
Residents are referred to the program by Youth Justice Services in each region.
Residents live in the accommodation during their period of supervised bail, and participate in day program activities 5 days per week. Assistance is provided for young people to re-engage with their family members and / or primary carer.
The young people are supported by our professional staff and carers who provide a listening ear, and who assist the young person develop appropriate coping and living skills.
This program provides a supportive, drug and alcohol free atmosphere for the young people to experience as far as possible a normal home life.
For any more information about the supervised bail program please call the office on (08) 9497-9498 or email Drug ARM at drugarm@drugarmwa.org.au
