Youth Options Program

Our Youth Options Program (YOP) is an innovative program assisting youth (12 – 18 years old) to make appropriate choices about their own lives and to become active contributors in the community in which we all live.

Young people, referred to YOP, may have been having difficulties coping with mainstream education / employment, are exhibiting offending behaviours and / or drug abuse.

YOP focuses on enhancing the young person’s self esteem by providing a program that is ‘mentor based’. Workshop and living skills (and counselling) are used as tools to promote the young persons well being and to increase their abilities to re-engage with families and / or education, to discover vocational interests and to develop personal skills to cope with the demands of life in the 21 st Century.

The program is run in a well equipped workshop by staff members who are committed to giving a second chance.
